Hooray!  I made another wonderful show!  delecTABLE: the Fine Art of Dining - Fifth Biennial Juried Exhibit of Functional Ceramics at the Art Students League of Denver has selected my work among many other great potters to participate.  This year's juror was Liz Zlot Summerfield, whom I have been a fan of, for quite a long time. I am very excited.

I am proud to be apart of Savannah Clay Community's inaugural exhibition in its' sixth year running, SIP: A Ceramic Cup Show. This show features over 100 functional ceramic mugs, yunomi, pour-overs and more featuring clay artists from Savannah and across the country.  Proceeds from the exhibition benefit each individual artist, and a percentage of all cup sales is to be donated to the Emmaus House to help provide nourishment for the hungry in Savannah.

Artist Gift Exchange! Please join me on the downtown mall for New City Arts Gallery gift exchange.  14 artists were asked to participate in the annual event making and exchanging art for our fellow artisans.  It was a wonderful experience working on a new series knowing they were all going to great homes.  An example of the exchange as well as one of my larger installations will be up for the month of December. Opening reception December 6, 5:00 - 7:30p.m.

Two of my works will be showing in the annual even The Cup, The Mug 2019.  Opening reception takes place December 7, from 4-7p.m.  The work will be up for viewing from November 16- December 14. For more info please follow this link: Main Street Arts

For the month of November you can find my work at Carpediem Gallery located at 1429 E. High Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902.  Works for the wall as well as functional work are available making great holiday gifts.  An opening reception will be held on November 3 from 2-4p.m.

M.F.A. show Wellness will be showing at the Hodson Gallery at Hood College this summer opening on July 24th.  It has been a great three years.  Please join me for refreshments as this chapter comes to a close.

Spring/Summer classes at City Clay are now open. There are multiple classes to choose from with classes ranging from 6 to 12 weeks long.  The community is a wonderful place to connect with others while learning a new craft.  All are welcome to join.  A full list of classes are available in detail at the City Clay website.  

Exciting news!  Starting this October I will be teaching an introductory hand building class at City Clay. The Clay CoOp will be displaying "Tranquility" in their upcoming exhibition, Proximity, opening August 17th.  The reception takes place August 18th from 7pm-10pm and will be up for viewing by appointment through August 31.  

Roy and Wheelers Downtown is hosting me and my work for the month of Jluy.  Come on down for the opening for a chance to see what I have been up to in my second year of grad school.  I will be showing an excerpt from my spring show as well as a few functional pieces that were made in the last year.  Hope to see you there!
